Kevin Wurster's Funtime Activities Inc. has evolved through the years. The company was originally named Progressive Gymnastics. We specialized in the instruction of gymnastics, preschool, cheerleading, tumbling and trampoline in addition to our entertainment. The company was based in Dallas, Texas.

In 1992 we relocated, returning to New York, where we worked with several gyms as contract labor. In 1994 we became Newburgh Gymnastics. We taught gymnastics, preschool classes, cheerleading and circus arts classes. We worked with many of the local school cheerleading programs including Newburgh Free Academy, Cornwall High School, St. Joseph's and Sacred Heart St. Francis.

In 1996, we renamed our company again and it became "Kevin Wurster's Funtime Activities, Inc." We wanted our name change to reflect not only gymnastics programs, but also our growing entertainment department. We offered a "Friday Night-Out" program in which parents could drop off their children, and then have an evening out. We offered pizza, gymnastics and live entertainment for the children. Our birthday party business tripled, offering gymnastics parties, magic parties, moonwalk parties, clown parties and more.
In 1998 we made a decision to focus on what we do best, which is ENTERTAIN. Call on Funtime Activities, Inc. to offer entertainment for all occasions.

Something About Kevin Wurster

Funtime Activities Inc. is owned and operated by Kevin Wurster. Kevin has a history of providing quality entertainment for more than 17 years. Kevin began entertaining at the early age of five, when he was selected to participate in a trial program from Japan, called Suzuki. Kevin was one of eight children who began playing the violin using the Suzuki Method of instruction. At the age of nine, Kevin expanded his musical range and began playing percussion. Kevin studied both instruments throughout his elementary, junior high school and high school years. In 1984 Kevin was admitted to North Texas State University (one of the top two jazz music schools in the country) as a music performance major. Kevin soon added voice to his repertoire. He began singing with the Richland College Select Choir and performing with the band Fusion. With the band, Kevin toured California, Texas, Arizona and Louisiana, winning several music awards along the way.

· At the age of thirteen, Kevin began performing magic. For two years, he performed professionally with the Enthusiasts Variety Show. Before branching out on his own, Kevin toured throughout New York State, New Jersey and Ohio with the Enthusiasts. Kevin still performs magic throughout the country.

· In 1996 Kevin opened Funtime Activities Inc., a gymnastics and family entertainment center. Kevin formed the K-Team Daredevils Acrobatic Troupe and performed in the Orange Country New York area, performing for schools, carnivals, community and corporate events.

· Kevin has performed with Disney, Warner Brothers, Hanna Barbara, Seventeen Magazine, YM Magazine, The Hudson Valley Renegades, Splash Down Water Park, Knotts Berry Farms and many more. Kevin also trained many of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.

· Kevin has provided entertainment, team building programs and seminars for such companies as Travelers Insurance, Prudential Insurance, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, C&S Warehouses, Fiberlux, Shop Rite Distributors, The Estelle & Alfonso Inc., Frontier Insurance, and many others.

· Kevin has modeled in print ads, brochures and fashion shows as well as acted in theater productions and a Television Commercial.

· Kevin has performed for numerous municipalities, schools and colleges including SUNY New Paltz, North Texas State University, Richland College and Mount St. Mary College.

Kevin has designed and implemented educational classes and programs in elementary schools and gymnastics centers throughout the country.
